![[On April 29, visited the World Expo in Osaka] 'Common Ground: creating a new dawn'. The Dutch pavilion has a rectangular shape with a glowing sphere in the center, symbolizing a 'man-made sun'. This represents clean, inexhaustible energy generated from hydropower. The facade is adorned with wavy slats that depict flowing water; as a tribute to 425 years of trade relations between the Netherlands and Japan. Visitors receive a small, glowing sphere upon entry that interacts with installations in the pavilion. These take them along the shared history of the Netherlands and Japan and the Dutch struggle against water. The highlight is the central glowing sphere, in which the world’s first AI-generated 360-degree dome film can be seen. Finally, visitors can share their own ideas and dreams for the future through an interactive artwork.
